Ko Samet

Situated off the Eastern coast of Thailand in the Gulf of Thailand. Ko Samet is a only a few hours drive from Bangkok and is therefore popular with both Thais and visitors.

 

 
 

Thai Restaurant.
Ring the bell on the shore and a man will come across on a raft to collect you.
 

Every night at 6.00 pm it starts to get dark,
by 6.30 it is dark.

 

Snorkeling and diving trips to see
the coral reefs are available,
however there are plenty interesting things to see from the shore in the shallows around the rocky points and headlands.
 

When my friends mobile phone alarm went off in the middle of the night I awoke groggely and asked what the heck was going on, I was politely told that on the way home from the bar the previous evening I had anounced that I was going to get up at 5.30 am to take pictures of the sunrise............

........well here it is, I hope you think it was worth it.
